Table of contents (hide)

Unknown artist's impression of the Lady Milton1

Thomas Williams, along with his wife Mary Ann and their daughter Emma travelled from Plymouth, England, to Port Adelaide in South Australia, arriving on November 1865. Shortly after their arrival, Mary Ann gave birth to their daughter Annie who shares a middle name with the ship. Their arrival in Australia was documented in the South Australian Advertiser on November 30, 1865.

Passengers on board the Lady Milton would have been issued a ticket, similar to the example below on file with the National Library of New Zealand.
