Introduction

Learmonth Cemetery is located west of the town of Learmonth on Cemetery Road.

The graves within the cemetery are divided into several sections - Wesleyan, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian and Church of England. There is also a lawn section and interment wall.

Burials

John Rankin

John Rankin is buried in the Church of England section of the cemetery. His grave can be found at GPS co-ordinates 37°25'04.0"S 143°41'30.0"E.

The grave occupies a double plot consisting of a low concrete boarder with an arch shaped tombstone at the head. The tombstone is broken, and now lies flat on the ground in three pieces. The pieces have been arranged so that the stone can be read. None of his family appear to be buried with him in the grave.

The tombstone reads
